Serious Games Award Section of the 10th Fajr Video Games Festival

Serious games are a key part of video games that are used in various fields, including education, advertising, treatment, and other serious purposes. The development of these games requires scientific and specialized knowledge in the field in question, in addition to technical knowledge of game development. Unlike previous years, the International Serious Game Award 2025 has been considered as a special axis in the Fajr Festival with the aim of commercialization and attracting wider material support, and seeks to take steps towards developing scientific and industrial infrastructure in the country by developing these games practical. Accordingly, the Secretariat of Serious Games invites all game developers and producers to join this large group and participate in sharing their valuable experiences with other activists in this field.

Objectives of this period of the event:

1- To help develop business opportunities and job creation by relying on the media capacity and international reflection at the Fajr Festival

2- To attract, identify and support new groups in the field of serious game production

3- To strive to inform about this field and attract the attention of policymakers to the capacities available in serious games to solve the country's problems

4- To create networking opportunities and connect industry activists

Benefits of participating in the event:

1- To establish relationships with stakeholders and investors in the field of targeted games

2- To receive significant cash and non-cash prizes for selected games

3- To introduce teams and provide acceleration in order to accelerate the commercial development of serious games

Stages of participation in the event:

Serious game producers in each of the topics and branches introduced publicly, as well as based on the requirements announced by the organizations, can submit their works to the secretariat. After receiving the submitted works, the serious games will be judged in three stages: production, commercial, and scientific. After obtaining the necessary points and validation, the selected teams will present their achievements in the final stage, and finally the serious game of the year will be introduced.

The event secretariat will award cash prizes to the selected works in the following categories:

The best serious game (Purposeful) will receive a prize of up to 600,000,000 Rials.

The best work in the fields of "educational, skill, cognitive", health, and tourism will receive a prize of up to 300,000,000 Rials. Selected serious student games will receive a prize of up to 200,000,000 Rials.

The selected serious game in the international section of the festival will receive up to 1,000 euros to foreign game developers.

Games that have participated in previous editions of the event can participate again in the Best Update Section if they update their game and try their luck to win the 100,000,000 Rial prize.

** It should be emphasized that this year, the festival section benefits from the support of several organizations and, based on organizational requirements and with the participation of various institutions, awards prizes to selected games in a special panel in accordance with the priorities set by each institution.
